Yes you can get your sim renamed. If you want to rename your sim, please file a ticket about it on our support portal and we'll get it renamed by LL. The rename is normally done within 24 hours. Please note however that LL charges 50usd for a sim rename.
Moreover, in choosing a new name, please note that a sim name 1) can consist of a maximum of 3 words, must be 4-25 characters long (spaces are counted) and must contain only alphanumeric characters (no punctuation allowed), 2) must not be the name of a real life city, 3) cannot include words like Second Life, SL, Linden, Linden Lab, etc., 4) must not violate any trademark, copyright, or other proprietary right, 5) must not be vulgar or offensive, 6) must not be already in use (you can use the map to see if a name is in use or not). |
